Privately owned XVIIIth century's ancient monument.

La Ferté was one of the most important Cistercian Abbey and the first to be founded by St Bernard in 1113. The Church is no longer existent but the splendid Abbey Palace remains untouched. Very wide staircase, sculpted woodwork lounge, tapestry, original paintings and furniture. Gallery with various XIXth Century scientific objects. Gardens “à l’anglaise”. Its interior decoration beautifully suggests the XVIIIth Century’s life style.
